Tim's Weekly DoltHub Update

Tim Sehn

This is the weekly CEO update from DoltHub. I'm Tim, the CEO of DoltHub.

I don't know about you, but all anyone wants to talk about around here is You Can See Everything, the Elizabeth Holmes documentary. I have a complicated history with Elizabeth Holmes, at one time asserting she was innocent, almost as my own Nathan Fielder-style bit. My opinion now is a lot more consensus. This movie is about her story on the surface. But it's much more, part thriller, part comedy, part mystery, part romance. It's the best movie I've seen since the 90s. You can see everything and should. I only recommend Dolt more highly.

Datalib

A new project from Imbue called datalib uses DoltLite! I tried it out and made some recommendations about how to extend your datalib use to other Dolt products. If you're looking for a tool to extract, search, and potentially share the data created by your agents, datalib is for you.

Multi-parent Merge

It finally happened. A customer asked for multi-parent merge. This complicated merge edge case is now supported in Dolt. Neil did a great job explaining how it works, complete with clickable diagrams. Dive in if you are interested in weird version control edge cases.

More Researcher Bugs

Angela is writing a series on SQL correctness researchers. This week, she focuses on WINE: Window Equivalence Translation. Window functions in Dolt garnered the focus of the researcher Eye of Sauron, producing a swarm of bugs. If you're interested in SQL correctness testing techniques, this article is a good read.

Until next week. As always, just reply to this email if you want to chat.
