What is "agentic AI," really?
Hi John,
Thanks for spending a few minutes with Zenity. Before anything else, it's worth being precise about a term that gets used loosely: agentic AI.
An agent isn't a chatbot that answers and waits. It's given a goal, and it plans, decides, and acts on its own, across whatever systems and workflows it's connected to. That's a meaningful shift from anything that came before it, and it's the reason a new AI security category exists around agents specifically.
We put together a short primer that lays out the distinctions plainly.
It's also just a first look at what we publish regularly. Zenity Academy has the fuller library if you want to keep going after this.
