Your everyday web development work is worth sharing
Dear Sir/Madam,
A page that struggled on users’ devices. A component that became difficult to use with a keyboard. An API integration that took two teams to untangle.
You were focused on making things work. Along the way, you learned something another developer could use.
If you’ve thought about speaking at Webdevcon, look at a task that surprised you. What did you expect to happen? What happened instead? Which clues helped you understand the difference?
Then narrow your experience to one practical question:
How did you investigate a page that felt slow?
What did keyboard testing reveal about a custom component?
How did frontend and backend teams agree on an API contract?
Which changes helped you reduce flaky browser tests?
Explain the context, the options you considered and how you assessed the outcome. Experiences that connect disciplines can be especially interesting: a performance investigation spanning browser and backend, or an accessibility improvement involving design and development.
When writing your proposal, make clear who the session is for and what they will learn. One problem explored thoroughly can give attendees plenty to take back to their own projects.
Share your experience at Webdevcon 2027
We welcome proposals across frontend and backend development, APIs, architecture, accessibility, performance, tooling and teamwork.
The Call for Papers closes on 18 December 2026. All talks are presented in English.
