Because this is not just another conference announcement.

This is a story that started in February 2018, when Vue.js Amsterdam first opened its doors at Theater Amsterdam. Back then, Vue was still growing fast, Nuxt was still young, and the community had that special feeling of discovering something together. The 2018 edition already brought names like Evan You, Sarah Drasner, Guillaume Chau and Sébastien Chopin to Amsterdam.

Since then, Vue.js Amsterdam has become one of the most special Vue community gatherings in the world — welcoming thousands of developers from 50+ countries and becoming the annual home of Evan You’s State of the Vuenion.

Over the years, we’ve seen the Vue ecosystem grow up from the stage in Amsterdam:

✨ Vue 3 becoming the new default
⚡ Nuxt evolving into one of the most loved full-stack Vue frameworks
🧪 Vue reactivity explained live by the people who built it
🚀 Vite becoming a core part of modern frontend development
🧭 Vue Router, Pinia, Nitro, DevTools, Vapor Mode and more shaping how Vue apps are built
🎤 First-time speakers becoming community leaders
❤️ Attendees becoming friends, colleagues, founders and open-source collaborators

In 2022, Evan’s State of the Vuenion reflected on Vue 3 becoming the default version and the launch of the new Vue.js website. In 2024, we even hosted an in-person workshop with Evan You on Vue reactivity, together with Vue and Vite core team members. And in 2026, Daniel Roe released Nuxt 4.4 live on the conference stage.

That is what makes this community so special...

Not just talks. Moments. Releases. Friendships. Hallway conversations. Standing ovations. Late-night ideas that turned into real projects.

And now, after 10 incredible years, we’re preparing for one more unforgettable chapter.
