Discover Branding Insights & Portfolio Successes 🚀

The Unrest Team

3rd November 2026

Hi there,

Something was said in our October Restless Session that changed how half the room thought about branding. We've included the notes below for those who need to hear it.

Scroll down for portfolio wins, foodie founder support, and key takeaways from our community sessions.👇

Inside Opply's Brain

Our partners at Opply took over a warehouse and hosted an immersive Flagship Event. They took us inside a CPG brand's toughest day, and introduced the world to their agentic operating system, Brain.

If you're a foodie founder, check out how Opply can help the flow of your operations. Click the video below.

From the Fire: Restless Session Notes

Brand strategy with Tobey Duncan, Chief Strategy Officer of Uncommon Creative Studio

Tobey took the room inside Bold Bean Co.’s out-of-home campaign. It broke the rules and smashed its targets. Here’s a few of our favourite takeaways:

Fix something people actually care about. Brands that matter fix something in the world. Split it into the 25% people care about and the 75% they don’t. That 25% is the cultural tension, and it shows you what people will actually pay attention to. Your brand lives where what you care about meets what they care about.

Be brave enough to pick one job. You can’t drive sales, social and awareness all at once. Give your campaign one goal, then judge it on that alone.

Let your values guide the hard decisions. Bold Bean broke the FMCG playbook: no retailer logos, no headline, no catchy tagline. Its commitment to boldness made those calls. They paid attention to alternative criteria, such as: would someone WhatsApp this? Put it on their wall? Write in to say it moved them?

Beyond the Badge: B Corp, ESG and Building Impact that Holds Up

B Corp experts, Ella McCann-Tomlin and Cheyanne Clair, talked to us about how founders can use B Corp and ESG as operational tools to build resilient, high-performing businesses.

Focus. What impact streams actually align with your business? Don't retrofit something that doesn't push the needle of your company's growth.

Impact. Build it from the beginning - through your policies, compliance, supplier checks. Do the heavy lifting early so you can build purpose confidently as you scale.

Frameworks. Take a look at what’s available, and without necessarily going through the B-Corp process. Use their frameworks to help you align with your impact goals, then if you want to apply for a badge later, you’re well equipped to get there with less resources.

Morality. Don’t listen to every piece of news on political pushback and ESG backlash. Trust in your community. Consumers want to buy from companies with a heart, and the new generation of talent wants their work to have purpose. Politics may change but morality will remain for those who care.

And the main takeaway? Everything is political. 👀

Restless Sessions are for Unrest community members who are building brands that matter. Bring your questions and your challenges, and leave with fresh ideas. We’d love to see you at the next one. Email Poppy to get involved [email protected].
