10 Claude Skills that run a founder’s week.

Anthropic sampled 100,000 real Claude conversations and estimated that the average task in them would take a person about 90 minutes by hand. Using Claude’s own estimates, it put the gain at an estimated 80% cut in task time, and it notes the figure leaves out checking work outside the chat (Anthropic, Nov 25, 2025).

The same study priced those tasks at $55 of human labor each (Anthropic). 10 of them a week come to $550 of work, and Claude Pro costs $20 a month (Claude pricing).

Self-reported speed is a shaky gauge. In a randomized trial with early-2025 tools, METR found experienced developers took 19% longer on real tasks with AI, while believing AI had made them 20% faster (METR, Jul 2025). In a Feb 24, 2026 update, METR said developers are likely sped up more by current tools, and called its newer data only weak evidence because of selection effects (METR, Feb 2026).

Our own inference for founders: the gain depends on how much context the model starts with. When Claude already knows your company and your bar for “good”, the time saved stays saved. When every chat starts cold, much of it goes to re-explaining yourself.

So this issue builds the warm version: a Founder OS on Claude that knows your numbers and runs your week on a schedule.

Paid subscribers get the Founder OS pack: 10 ready-to-install Claude Skills, a Company Brain template, a 25-prompt pack and the weekly operating sheet, zipped for upload.

Bar chart: Anthropic estimates the average Claude.ai task takes 90 minutes by hand and about 18 minutes with Claude, an estimated 80% cut in task time across 100,000 conversations

The stack: 4 layers, each doing one job

The default way to use Claude is a single layer, the chat box. The Founder OS uses 4, and each one fixes a different leak.

  1. A Project is the memory. A Project keeps your files and standing instructions in one place, with a memory of its own. That memory also reaches your chats outside the Project unless you turn off “Use account memory” on the Project page (Claude Help Center). This is where your Company Brain file lives.

  2. Skills are the playbooks. A Skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file that Claude loads only when a request matches its description (Claude docs). Write your investor update format once and every update follows it.

  3. Connectors are the senses. They let Claude read and act in tools like Gmail, Slack, Linear or HubSpot, with the same permissions you have in each one (Claude Help Center).

  4. Scheduled tasks are the cadence. On every paid plan, a saved prompt can run on a schedule, from hourly to weekly, in the cloud with your laptop closed (Claude Help Center).

Each layer of the stack fixes a different leak in a founder’s week.

The rule: anything you explain twice becomes a Skill, and anything you run on the same day every week becomes a scheduled task.

4 habits from older prompt guides that now cost you

A lot of the prompting advice that went around in 2024 and 2025 was written for earlier models. Anthropic’s own guide for current models changes 4 of those habits (Claude prompting best practices).

  1. Prefilling the answer. Starting Claude’s reply for it (say, with an opening brace for JSON) returns a 400 error on Claude 4.6 models and later (Claude docs). Fix: describe the exact output format in your instructions, or use structured outputs in the API.

  2. Asking Claude to write its reasoning in tags. Thinking is always on in the newest models, and a prompt that asks for written-out reasoning in tags may be declined (Claude docs). Fix: say “think thoroughly” and raise the effort setting for hard problems.

  3. Putting the question above the documents. For long inputs, put the documents at the top and the question at the end. Anthropic reports that this ordering improved response quality by up to 30% in its tests (Claude docs).

  4. Writing bans. Anthropic’s guide says to tell Claude what to do. Its example swaps “Do not use markdown in your response” for “Your response should be composed of smoothly flowing prose paragraphs.” (Claude docs)

The same guide recommends 3 to 5 examples for steering format and tone (Claude docs). That is why most Skills in the pack spell out their output format, and section 4 shows 3 filled-in examples.

Steal this: the Company Brain interview

Every Skill below reads one file first: company-brain.md. Build it in 20 minutes with this prompt. Open a new Project called “Founder OS”, paste it, and talk (voice dictation works best).

You are going to interview me to build company-brain.md, the single file every
future task in this Project will read first.

Ask me one question at a time, in this order, and wait for my answer:
1. What we sell, to whom, and the one sentence a customer uses to describe us.
2. Stage, last round (amount, date, lead), runway in months, team size.
3. The 5 to 8 metrics we report every month, with their exact definitions.
4. Our current priorities for this quarter, ranked.
5. Investors and board members: names, what each one cares about, how they like updates.
6. Our voice: 3 phrases we use, 3 phrases we never use, one example of writing we like.
7. Settled decisions that stay closed, with the date and the reason.
8. Open questions I am losing sleep over.

After question 8, write company-brain.md with these sections:
## Company, ## Numbers (with definitions and "last updated" date), ## Priorities,
## People, ## Voice, ## Settled decisions, ## Open questions.
Mark every gap as [MISSING] so I can fill it later.
Keep it under 1,200 words. Then tell me the 3 gaps that will hurt future tasks most.

Save the output as a file in the Project. From that moment, every chat inside the Project starts warm.

Below the paywall

With the Company Brain in place, the pack turns that context into a week that runs itself. Paid subscribers get:

  1. The 45-minute install. The Project instructions to paste, the connectors to switch on, the Skill upload on claude.ai and the Claude Code install.

  2. 10 ready-to-install Skills, with the full SKILL.md for each: investor-update, board-pack, pitch-red-team, raise-pipeline, hiring-loop, pricing-memo, model-audit, decision-memo, weekly-review and account-brief.

  3. The weekly operating cadence. 9 saved tasks, 6 on a weekday or weekly schedule and 3 you run manually on a clear trigger, with the exact prompt for each.

  4. Worked examples. 3 filled-in output shapes, so you know what good looks like before you run the Skills.

  5. The 25-prompt pack for the moments between Skills: term sheet questions for counsel, reference calls, price-increase emails and runway scenarios.

  6. Claude Code for operators. 3 builds for non-engineers: a raise CRM from a CSV, a dilution checker and a metrics page.

  7. Where a human stays in the loop. The 5 places the OS drafts and you decide.

Files: founder-os-pack.zip with 10 Skill folders, company-brain-template.md, prompt-pack.md, operating-sheet.csv and an install README.
