[TSG] Welcome To The Newsletter + Exclusive Bonuses!

Excel Education for the REAL WORLD!
Welcome to TheSpreadsheetGuru Newsletter!
First off, I'm ecstatic you've joined our little Excel community here at TheSpreadsheetGuru. I am still humbled every time someone decides my voice is worth listening to. I know you likely get hundreds of emails every single day (I know I do) and I don't take the fact you've invited me into your inbox lightly.
As you read through this email, I'd like to explain exactly what I intend to provide you with through this newsletter and then I'll tell you a little bit about myself and what led me to create TheSpreadsheetGuru.
I'll then wrap things up with some free gifts and offers. So stick around until the end!
I am putting in a TON of time and effort to bring you value with every single email I send your way. With this newsletter, you will not receive the typical generic tips that you might only use once a year.
I'm sharing THE GOOD STUFF with you!
These are the tricks that will make you increase your efficiency, address complex problems, and produce professional results that look like you paid a graphic designer to photoshop your spreadsheet. These are the skills you need to really stand out from the typical Excel user and luckily, most of the techniques I've developed over 10+ years are very easy to implement.
I also realize you may have joined this newsletter to improve your VBA coding skills. If you would like to learn about automating your spreadsheet solutions, Click the below link to give yourself a "VBA" tag in my system so you receive my best VBA tips too.
Note: If your initial newsletter sign-up was for VBA tips, you should already be tagged in my system to receive VBA tips. You are more than welcome to click the above button if you are in doubt that you are on the VBA newsletter list.
I won't go into my entire back story (you can read through that here), but I will say I'm not a full-time Excel consultant, author, or teacher.
While I do aspects of those activities in my spare time, I am actually employed by a large manufacturing company in Columbus, OH (United States) where I do work for the company's global Financial Planning & Analysis team.
What's great about this is I more than likely face the same problems and pain points you experience at your job and I love to share the solutions/techniques I come up with that are making my life easier.
I have a passion for math, design, and simplicity. Combining those three things with Microsoft Excel has led me to stand out significantly among my peers in the Finance profession.
As I've honed my Excel skills over the past decade, I've utilized TheSpreadsheetGuru website to share aspects of Excel that were either not clearly explained or hard to find on the internet. That's likely how you found this newsletter in the first place!
After a few years of consistently posting articles to my blog, Microsoft took notice and awarded me with their Excel MVP award. I was so appreciative that my tutorials had made a significant enough impact that I would receive such an award.
An amazing benefit of being an MVP, is I get to interact directly with the Excel development team. This allows me to provide them with my ideas for improvement and also discuss my thoughts on upcoming Excel features they are working on.
I have been fortunate enough to have renewed my MVP reward status every year since first receiving it in 2016.

About me personally: I am married to my wonderful wife Stephanie and have two sons under 6 years old. Those kids sure keep me busy! We have lived in Columbus, Ohio since 2015 and absolutely love the area.
For fun, I play pickup basketball almost every Saturday, I love to go boating/wakeboarding during the summer months, and I'm an absolute nerd when it comes to playing strategy board games (Power Grid, Spendor, Sequence, and Azul are some of my favorites).
I'd love to hear a bit more about you. How did you find out about this newsletter? What are you looking to get out of this newsletter? Do we share any common hobbies? Just reply back to me via this email and let me know!
I want to start our relationship off on the right foot and gift you with a few free downloadable resources that have taken me years to develop and refine:

Most Excel experts out there offer you 100+ page e-books that you probably won't have time to read through or if you do, you likely only end up using a fraction of the information provided.
The resources I've created are intentionally focused and are condensed down to what I believe are the most practical tips that you will likely utilize on a regular basis while working in Excel.
After you go through these, I'd very much appreciate getting your feedback! What did you think? Was there something you felt was missing? Reply back to this email and let me know.

Throughout my career, I've solved issues by building my own Excel add-in and template solutions.
With the launch of my website, I was able to take what I had developed for myself and convert them into tools anyone could use. The proceeds are then used to cover the costs of running TheSpreadsheetGuru website.
I tend to never give out discounts except during a new product launch, so this is definitely something that will not be commonplace going forward (especially at this large of a discount).
As a special welcome gift to you, I'd like to gift you with a 30% off discount code that you can apply to any purchase in my product store (excludes T-shirts and other physical merchandise).
(excludes physical merchandise)
Each of my Excel add-ins or spreadsheet templates comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee so please don't feel hesitant in using this gift to make a purchase. Most of my add-in products also have a 2-week trial period that you can utilize to make sure the tool is right for you before making your purchase.
This offer is only valid for the first 7 days after you've subscribed to this newsletter. After that time, you will be locked from the coupon code.

You can check out even more of my product offerings by visiting my online store.
All proceeds of my products go towards keeping my website and this very newsletter up and running. I am very appreciative of the people/companies worldwide who have invested in my products and have been able to make Excel even more powerful with these tools.
Let me be transparent for a minute. This newsletter costs hundreds of dollars to run each month and I want to keep it free for everyone. In an attempt to self-fund this newsletter, I'll be sharing random product recommendations that I personally have loved after purchasing.
Some of these products may be work-related, some may be lifestyle products, and some may be items I've just had fun using.
Most of these products will be items you can purchase on Amazon and if you click my link to the Amazon store, this newsletter will get a 1%-2% commission from Amazon on anything you purchase within 24 hours of clicking the link (at no additional cost to you).
Whether you happen to like one of my recommendations or you just happen to have an Amazon purchase and want to click my affiliate link before checking out. I am so grateful that you'd take the extra step of having Amazon send a bit of their profit this way to help support the distribution of this newsletter!

There are a bunch of social media platforms out there, and I have struggled to pinpoint where folks actually want to get their Excel tips. I've experimented with accounts on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and many more (anyone up for TikTok Excel tips?!)...however, I never really found much interaction on those platforms.
What I decided to do is focus on more educational-based social media offerings. You can keep up with my latest writings/thoughts on:
Now that I have introduced myself and hopefully gotten you excited about this newsletter, let's discuss what's coming next.
Over the next 6 days, I'm going to be sending you a new Excel tip every day to give you some immediate results for improving your Excel skills.
After this "lightning round" of tips, I will start to space my emails out and send you a new tip once every two weeks. I also write a monthly update letter where I cover the latest features the Microsoft team has been working on and provide links to new Excel articles from around the web that I've found interesting.
I'm excited to have you on board as you search for ways to improve your Excel skills. Learning Excel is really a life-long journey and I'll do my very best to help you learn from my mistakes and provide you with tons of value along the way!
Tomorrow, we'll be discussing quite possibly the most powerful shortcut in Excel that nearly no one knows about! Can you believe that? See you tomorrow!
