You're on the list!
Hey, I’m Chay.
If neurotech keeps showing up in your feed with my name attached to it, that’s not an accident. I write about this field most days so let me tell you what you’ve signed up for.
I’m a headhunter. Twenty years of it, across London, New York and LA, and for the last few of those, only neurotech. I’m not a scientist and I’ll never pretend to be one. What I actually do is spend all day talking to the people building this field, the founders, the engineers, the clinicians, the investors, and then explain what I’m hearing in language a normal person can follow. That turns out to be a useful job, because neurotech is drowning in jargon and short on plain answers. Honestly, the entire newsletter is me trying to make sense of a market.
That’s the whole newsletter, really. Here’s what lands in your inbox:
Free, always: the founder interviews, the market explainers, the newsletter headlines, and my Sunday opinions when I have something worth saying.
Paid, on Fridays: the deep dives. The funding breakdowns, the money maps, the geographic deep dives, the who’s-raising-and-who’s-getting-bought analysis, the full newsletter analysis. I can’t give those away because they’re the same research my clients pay me for. It’s about the price of a decent coffee a month.
I run this alongside Carter Sciences, my neurotech search firm, and Reccy Neuro, the market intelligence platform I built with Max Kelly because I got tired of guessing who was actually hiring. So when I write about the market, it’s not from the outside. It’s what I’m seeing in the real deals and searches every week.
No hype. I find this field genuinely fascinating and I’d rather show you why than sell you on it.
Glad you’re here.
Chay
