The Lund Loop Reimagined

The Lund Loop

Minimize risk, maximize profits, sleep well at night.

The Lund Loop Reimagined

The beginning of a new chapter.

Nov 1

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

— Anonymous

Since its launch in 2007, The Lund Loop has been many things: a private journal, a public but anonymous journal, a public blog, a way-too-personal blog, a weekend review, and a daily video update.

None of this was by design. The Lund Loop just sort of evolved. Thank you, ADHD.

Over the past few years, though, it’s become more focused, with the things that matter less falling away and the things that matter most becoming more prominent.

And after nearly two decades of figuring out what it wanted to be when it grew up, The Lund Loop has finally found its identity.

Welcome to The Lund Loop Trading Community.

This isn’t just a branding change or an empty slogan meant to sound cool. It’s a recognition of what The Lund Loop has become, with two new words to remind us of what matters most.

Trading

Everyone should be a long-term investor, and most of us are. But we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Our focus is on trading in all its forms: day trading, swing trading, position trading, and active investing.

If you want to take control of your P&L in a proactive, strategic way, this is the place for you.

Community

Over the past couple of years, I’ve spent time in a number of trading and investing communities, and what we’ve built here is unlike anything I’ve encountered elsewhere.

Too many of them are little more than endless streams of noise. Dumpster fires filled with every breaking news story, every political opinion, every hot take, and every stock somebody thinks is going to the moon. Finding anything useful becomes an exercise in frustration.

And the way people constantly turn on each other? It’s ugly.

You couldn’t design a worse environment for making money in the markets.

What’s missing is the camaraderie that comes from people sharing a common interest and trying to help one another succeed.

And that’s something this community has in abundance.

As The Lund Loop Trading Community enters its 20th year, you’ll see more content and features that reinforce what we’re building here. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

But there’s another part of this evolution I want to talk about.

Minimize risk, maximize profits. That’s long been the guiding principle of The Lund Loop.

Lately, I’ve realized that market-life balance matters to me more than it used to. I still want to make as much money as I ever have, just with less of the stress, anxiety, and mental anguish that often go along with it.

This isn’t an age thing. It’s a mindset thing, one that a 25-year-old can embrace just as readily as an 85-year-old.

That realization has made the psychology of trading even more central to how I want to approach the markets from here on, and it’s led to a new mission statement.

Minimize risk, maximize profits, sleep well at night.

Markets are evolving at an increasingly rapid pace. We have 0DTE options and triple-leveraged ETFs, and we’re moving toward 23/5 trading, with 24/7 likely not far behind. That makes “sleeping well at night” a literal concern. Opportunities to make money have never been more accessible, but neither have opportunities to lose it.

That’s why, in 2027, I will be…

  • Leaning even harder into the psychology of trading.

  • Introducing the weekly timeframe into my analysis.

  • Adding ETFs and index trading.

The new mission statement’s cadence also reflects a philosophy that helps me sleep well at night: Keep it simple. Think 1-2-3.

Chart patterns. Moving averages. Support and resistance levels.

Assess the market. Identify the hot sectors. Find the names set up to move.

Pick your strategy. Define your risk. Manage the trade based on price action.

Lather, rinse, repeat. 1-2-3.

That’s the approach we’re building on as The Lund Loop enters 2027: less noise, more discipline, and a stronger community that makes us all better traders.

If you’re already a Lund Loop subscriber, thank you. You’re part of what makes this place special, and I look forward to heading into the next chapter with you. If you haven’t joined us yet, the door’s open. Come on in.
