I hope you enjoy the fable! If you’d like more where that came from, you can buy the Wandering Spirits book to read the full collection.

You might also enjoy some of these popular essays on my blog, and other resources on my website:

• Bookshelf — My favorite books. I’ve been publishing annual posts with my favorite books of the year.

• The Polymath Playbook — Modern society is designed for specialists, but there are huge benefits to taking a polymath approach to life. This essay is the story of my life and how I learned to embrace my inner polymath.

• Finish It — Procrastination is often perfectionism in disguise. And perfectionism is a misguided attempt to secure an impossible guarantee.

• How to Ask for Feedback — Great feedback is a gift, but most feedback isn’t great. It takes a lot of intention, practice, and self-awareness to master the art of giving feedback.

• Finding the Courage to be Disliked — How to stop worrying about what others think.

• Writing Guide — My best writing advice. I’ve been building this guide over time and it covers a range of challenges including overcoming writer’s block, improving your craft, and evolving how you measure your writing.

I’m eager to hear about what resonates most with you in these newsletters. My inbox is always open, so feel free to reply directly to any of the emails (including this one — I’d love to know what motivated you to subscribe!)

You can also connect with me on Instagram @salmanscribbles, though I’m trying to stay off social media these days!

See you at the next edition.

Onward,
