The Next Chapter of The Garage SF (Join Us November 18)
Connecting Northwestern’s entrepreneurial community in the Bay Area and beyond.
TL;DR: Want to meet more Northwestern alumni in the Bay Area startup community? Join us for our Northwestern Startup Community Kickoff on November 18, from 5–7 PM at Third Coast Foundry.
Hi everyone!
I’m Lilliana Robinson, the new director of The Garage SF. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about what I’m excited to work on.
For me, this role feels a bit like coming full circle. I was involved with The Garage as a Northwestern student, and I’ve spent much of my career since then working with founders and startups, most recently leading Techstars San Francisco. Having the opportunity to return to the Northwestern entrepreneurial community in this capacity is especially meaningful to me.
One of the things that stands out to me is just how many Northwestern alumni are building companies, investing, and contributing to the startup ecosystem, both here in the Bay Area and around the world. There’s already an incredible community here, and I think there’s a real opportunity to make it easier for people to find each other, build relationships, and support one another.
That’s what I’m most excited about as we look toward the next chapter of The Garage SF.
I’m spending these first few months getting to know the community, hearing what people are working on, and thinking about how we can make The Garage SF an even more valuable resource for Northwestern entrepreneurs. I have some ideas I look forward to sharing, but I also want what we build to reflect what our community actually finds useful.
And I’d love for you to be part of the conversation.
On Wednesday, November 18, we’re hosting our Northwestern Startup Community Kickoff at Third Coast Foundry in San Francisco. It’s a chance to meet fellow Wildcats, check out our space, and hear a little more about what we’re working toward and how you can get involved.
Whether you’ve been connected to The Garage for years or are just finding your way into the community, I’d love to see you there.
See you soon,
Lilliana Robinson
