Forecasting Newsletter
Forecasting

Hey there!

Welcome to my forecasting newsletter, and thanks for subscribing. Henceforth, you should expect an email every two months with updates about the forecasting ecosystem.

If you’re new to this newsletter, or if you want a refresher, you might want to start with 2020: Forecasting in Review and Looking back at 2021 to catch up. You might also want to sign up for a forecasting platform (e.g., Metaculus or Good Judgment Open), or for a prediction market (e.g., Polymarket or PredictIt) to start flexing your forecasting muscles.

Besides the newsletter, I also maintain Metaforecast, a search engine for forecasts:

It comes with a Twitter bot; if you mention @metaforecast in a tweet it will answer with the closest prediction in the database. In addition, I also maintain a historical database of prediction markets.

If you have any suggestions, do reach out by email or by leaving a comment on any of the posts. If you find this kind of thing cool and want to incentivize more of it, consider becoming a paid subscriber.

If you’ve subscribed to this newsletter, you might also be interested in my blog, where I cover topics of more general interest.

The Quantified Uncertainty Research Institute, the organization for which I work, is currently partially subsidizing this newsletter.

That’s all for now,

Nuño Sempere.
