In this episode, Mike Gruss speaks with Laura Crabtree, the CEO of Epsilon3, formerly at SpaceX. They talk about ways that space companies can organize themselves to increase speed, especially to remove roadblocks around testing and certification.
FROM THE CONVERSATION
Mike Gruss: I was wondering what steps you think the community can take to see greater representation, or what's holding back [women founders in space]?
Laura Crabtree: One of the things that I've been talking about a lot with people is establishing better mentorship. I have seen a lot of women actually leave the industry — more than, I think, in other industries. You know, when they get married, have children, it becomes sort of a different conversation. And what I would really like to see is more women, or men for that matter, mentoring each other at a younger stage. I did not have a mentor when I was younger, when I had just started in the industry, and I wish I had. I think that we can help each other out.
