👋 Welcome

Hello and welcome,

I'm stoked that you're here and that you've liked my small corner of the web enough to join nearly 600 other developers. Thanks a lot for becoming my pen pal!

I can't wait to start sharing with you what I learn about building cool software, switching careers, and my journey as a freelancer in *this* economy 😬.

But before we start, I've got two questions for you:

1. Why did you sign up?
2. Where did you first hear about my website?

Hit Reply and let me know! When I say pen pal, I mean it! Previous replies have been really helpful, and I'd love to hear your story.

If you're new here, here are my three favorite technical posts from the past few months:

• My reflections on 2025, both professionally and personally.
• My conversation with IndieRails' Jeremy and Jess on freelancing and plenty more.
• A four-part series on using Minitest for the first time.

Thanks again for being here!

Cheers, Remi - @[email protected]

PS: Add "[email protected]" to your contacts so my emails don't end up in your spam folder. 🙏
