PyTexas Monthly November 2026
Threat Modeling Your Python AI Applications
Join us for our monthly meetup! The meetup will take place in the PyTexas Discord server, so be sure to join!
This month we are excited to be joined by Chakra Pavan Kumar Kota
Speaker: Chakra Pavan Kumar Kota
Topic: Security Is a Design Habit: Threat Modeling Python AI Applications Before They Ship
Security problems rarely begin as security problems. They often begin as unclear assumptions, missing boundaries, rushed integrations, or decisions made before risks are visible. As Python becomes a common foundation for AI-enabled applications, teams need practical ways to bring security thinking earlier into design conversations. This talk introduces threat modeling as a lightweight habit for Python teams building AI, data, and cloud-connected systems, focused on collaboration patterns that help developers, security teams, and product stakeholders reason together.

PyTexas Sponsorship Prospectus Available
The PyTexas 2027 Sponsorship Prospectus is now available. It is through the generosity of our sponsors that allows us to continue to operate such a wonderful conference, bringing more and more benefit to its attendees while keeping ticket prices down.
This year, when forecasting the conference and drafting the budget, we decided to take a different approach to the PyTexas Sponsorship Prospectus. We have many folks every year who ask how they can give to support us, so this year we are introducing the Community sponsorship tier. This tier gets you a full ticket, acknowledgement of your donation, as well as the opportunity to advertise something (a project, product, message you want to share) with attendees during breaks and on signs during the conference. And this tier comes in for almost the same price as a corporate ticket.
How can you help:
Ask your company if they would consider sponsoring PyTexas
Don’t now who to ask or how? Here’s a guide on whom may be able to sponsor
Consider purchasing a Community Sponsorship
Check out the prospectus and reach out to [email protected] to set up
Share our posts on Social Media
Seriously, you sharing the conference with you friends/family/network is one of the best tools we have
Thank you for all your help, and we look forward to seeing you in April!
