Release Note

The openIMIS Initiative is happy to announce the October software release of 2026!

The most obvious change in this version is the new look and feel of the user interface. This is supported by a better structured main menu, which is now aligned to our modular architecture. In the task management module you can now define tiered approval workflows to manage hierarchies. The payroll benefit generation has been reworked to run as a background task now, allowing a much faster processing of large payrolls. In addition to these updates, there are multiple bug-fixes and performance improvements, as well as minor functionality upgrades.

As always, a special thank you to our local implementation partners, whose contributions help to improve openIMIS and add new functionalities to the software. You can read more about some of these local innovations on a recently released article on our website.
