New Funding Opportunity from the Human Virome Program (HVP)
The NIH Common Fund’s Human Virome Program (HVP) aims to characterize the “healthy” human virome and create tools, models, and methods that will enable an in-depth study of its variation and composition in relation to host factors and its influence on health and disease.
All applications are due: November 10, 2026, by 5PM local time of applicant organization.
NIH Extramural Loan Repayment Programs
The NIH Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs) are designed to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research careers. For the upcoming cycle, Extramural LRP applicants will choose from three subcategories, which are designed to make it easier to identify which pathway fits their research and apply with greater clarity. Applications for fiscal year 2027 Extramural LRP awards will be accepted until November 19, 2026.
NIH is Seeking Experts in Human-Based Research
The NIH is seeking scientists with expertise in human-based research approaches who may be interested in serving as grant reviewers.
