Gladys Assistant 5.3 is out today 🎉

🎵 A real music player on the dashboard

The music widget is no longer just a remote control. It shows the artwork, the title, the artist and the progress of the track, along with the queue. A search lets you start an album, a playlist or a radio without leaving the dashboard.

A new scene action, “Play music on a speaker”, lets you start your Sunday morning playlist right after the coffee machine turns on, for example.

🤖 The AI of your choice

The Gladys assistant can now run on another AI provider than Gladys Plus: Claude, Mistral, OpenAI, or even a model running at home. These providers will arrive in the catalog as the community publishes them.

Gladys Plus stays the default. If you choose a local model, your conversations are never sent anywhere else behind your back.

🔊 And the voice too

In the same way, the announcements of your scenes on your speakers can be spoken by a voice generated locally.

🧩 A catalog of 856 integrations that is still easy to browse

The store now has 856 community integrations. The integrations page was redesigned for that:

  • it loads much faster;
  • the search is smarter;
  • integrations from other countries are hidden automatically;
  • four new categories appear;
  • an “Update all” button updates all your integrations in one click.

And also: a batch of fixes (login, batteries, Zigbee2MQTT, HomeKit, energy contracts…), and for developers, the SDK moves to v0.16.0 with support for music players and the new AI and voice providers.
