Learn cybersecurity [free 2-hour infosec course. Also freeCodeCamp just turned 12 yo]
Wow. freeCodeCamp just turned 12 years old this week. It actually feels a lot longer than that, doesn't it? COVID, AI, wars, labubu.
So far more than 20 million people have learned programming on freeCodeCamp. And we're just getting started. AI be damned I want people to actually understand how systems work. Math, programming, science, we're teaching all of it. The world could go full-blown WALL-E with people's minds completely enfeebled by their tech and I'll still be here teaching folks fundamentals. Because they matter.
Also I'm streamlining these weekly learning resources to just include my two favorites. You're busy and I want to max the impact of every minute you spend learning.
Here're this week's:
1. Zero to Root. How security researchers actually break into systems. If you're interested in infosec hit it hard. 2 hour YouTube course: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/learn-real-world-penetration-testing-hands-on-ethical-hacking-crash-course/
2. Implement a production-grade search pipeline within a PostgreSQL database. All open source kit, taught by fCC legend Beau Carnes. 1 hour YouTube course: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/build-a-hybrid-search-engine-in-postgresql-bm25-vector-retrieval/
If you're wondering yes I did send this to 3 million people. And also yes, I read every reply. Light me up. Happy coding.
