You can build almost anything. What should you build?

Flavio Copes

Hi there,

With AI, you can build things you wouldn't have attempted a few years ago.

An idea that would have taken months can become something you can try in a few days. You can explore it without hiring a team or spending your savings on development.

I think that's an incredible opportunity for anyone who wants to work independently.

But it leaves you with a question: what should you build?

You could spend the next month making an app you saw someone talking about on X. You could build your own version of a tool you use, then decide to sell it. Or you could keep starting projects because each new idea feels more promising than the last.

Being able to build all of them doesn't help you choose.

And even with AI doing much of the coding, you still have to give a product your time. You'll need to maintain it and find people who want it. You might be working on it long after the excitement of the first version has worn off.

So before you commit to the next idea, look at the people you would be building it for.

Can you reach them? What are they already doing about the problem? If they have a tool that works, what would make changing worth the trouble?

You can learn a lot from those answers before asking an agent to start building. They might help you narrow the idea, change the offer, or decide to spend your time on something else.

That's what I want to help you work through in Internet Business Lab.

We'll cover choosing a market and validating an idea, then what to build and how to turn it into an offer. We'll work on pricing and finding customers too, because you need a way to get your work in front of people who might buy it.

Bring an idea you've been thinking about, or a product you've already built. You'll apply the lessons to your own business, with a community where you can ask questions and share your work.

These students joined the course when it was called Solo Lab. Here are excerpts from what they wrote:

“Flavio gets straight to the point, explaining how he managed to reach his current position and detailing what worked and what didn't for him. This insight has provided me with the motivation I needed to finally embark on my solo journey.”

Sébastien Viallemonteil

“Precious insights from somebody who has skin in the game, to switch from consumer to creator, while taking back your time. A very helpful guide to start from, to run your own lifestyle business. No bullshits, Flavio gets to the essentials, following the 20/80 Pareto principle.”
