There’s a conference talk in your PHP codebase
Dear DPC Enthusiast,
Think back to the last PHP task that turned out to be more complicated than expected.
Maybe a dependency blocked an upgrade. A slow endpoint sent you searching for answers. Or you finally found a way to test code your team had been avoiding.
The work behind that solution could make a useful conference talk.
Start with the questions another developer might ask: how did you investigate the problem? Which options did you consider? What constraints influenced your decision? How did you check whether the change helped?
A focused topic gives you room to explain those details. For example:
How you introduced PHPStan into an existing project.
How you prepared a Laravel or Symfony application for an upgrade.
How you added meaningful tests around tightly coupled code.
How you traced one performance problem from symptom to cause.
Show the reasoning behind the result, including the approaches you reconsidered. Your audience can learn from the investigation as much as the final fix.
