Good morning! Ford’s forthcoming electric pickup truck will be loaded with a pretty powerful feature: the ability to provide backup energy to your home. While most EVs on the market need pricey power-conversion tech to send their stored power to houses, the Fathom will be able to do the job with much cheaper equipment. Jeff St. John has the details.

And Kathiann M. Kowalski is back with the latest on the FirstEnergy rate case currently unfolding in Ohio. As the utility looks to bring in more money from its customers, advocates want to make sure some of it goes toward a more equitable grid that can support the clean energy transition.
