Improve your data-analysis skills with Bamboo Weekly

Reuven M. Lerner

Hi!

These days, one of the biggest uses for Python is in working with data — data engineering, data analytics, and data science. And one of the most important libraries for working with data is Pandas. Millions of people use Pandas every day as part of their jobs.

The problem is that Pandas is a huge library, and can often be overwhelming for people. Whether it's cleaning data, working with multi-indexes, filtering with regular expressions, working with window functions, or visualizing your data, getting fluent with Pandas takes a while.

There are books and sites dedicated to improving your Pandas fluency. But most of those exercises are based on toy data — smaller and cleaner than you'll find in the real world. Oh, and it's usually on boring, irrelevant topics, too.

That's where Bamboo Weekly comes in: Every Wednesday, I publish a set of data-analysis questions based on real-world data sets, on topics having to do with current events. The next day, I publish my detailed solutions, walking you through how I approached and solved the problems.

Many BW subscribers have told me that thanks to working on these problems each week, they're able to solve problems with Pandas that others cannot. Which is, of course, the whole point of such practice.

The first two questions and answers in each week's newsletter are completely free of charge. The rest are paid ($10/month or $100/year), which gets you access to the entire BW archive, and invited to monthly office hours. It's also included in my LernerPython + data membership program.

If you want to level up your data skills, then I hope you'll take a look at Bamboo Weekly. Take a look at https://BambooWeekly.com .
