One mistake I'd avoid if I went back to Japan
Hi,
One of the easiest mistakes to make when planning Japan is trying to organize
every detail at the same time.
Flights, trains, hotels, neighborhoods, restaurants, day trips, payment
methods, luggage, tickets… it quickly turns into dozens of tabs and saved
posts with no clear order.
A better approach is to plan in layers:
1. Lock in your route and number of nights.
2. Choose the right areas to stay.
3. Identify anything that needs advance booking.
4. Add transport and practical details.
5. Fill the remaining space with food, neighborhoods and flexible activities.
That is also how I structured the Japan Complete Pack, so you can work
through the trip in a practical order instead of piecing everything together
yourself.
It includes the planning guides, itineraries, maps and tools in one place.
