A little about Colin:
- I've covered defense tech — how it's made, sold, used and everything in between — since 2017. You can find my previous work in the Aiken Standard, Post and Courier, Defense News, Military Times, Associated Press and more.
- My reporting on the Department of Energy, its National Nuclear Security Administration and the Savannah River Site was recognized by South Carolina lawmakers in a resolution passed in 2022.
- If I'm not writing about militaries and their weapons, I'm walking my two German shepherds, Piper and Birdie.

- I've covered space, military policy and politics for nearly a decade.
- I previously reported for Defense One, where I covered national security threats facing the Air Force and Space Force, Military.com, where my coverage of an emerging health crisis within the Air Force earned a Military Reporters and Editors Award, and the Charleston Post and Courier.
- I live in the Washington, D.C. area. Outside of work, you can find me hunting for Willie Nelson records, exploring the DMV’s parks with my dog and trying new recipes from my ever-growing stack of cookbooks.
