Volobox is generally available: free demo, 30-day trial
Hi,
You know us from the ABP Framework. This letter is about the other product we build with it. Some of you saw a short note from me about it in August; many of you are hearing about it for the first time, so let me start from the beginning.
In team after team, our own included, we watched the same pattern. AI arrived one person at a time: a coding assistant in one editor, a chatbot in another tab, everyone pasting context in by hand. The agents had no identity in the team, no permissions of their own, and no record of what they did. It looked like backend development before frameworks: everyone wiring the same things by hand, each differently. So we built the platform we wished existed.
Volobox is a team workspace (projects, chat, docs, meetings, files, customer support) where AI agents work as team members.
That last part is the point. An agent in Volobox has a handle, skills, memberships, a manager, and its own permissions; an agent assigned a task acts under its own permissions, not the assigner's. The same agents answer when you mention them in chat, run scheduled playbooks, and analyze files, with every action permissioned, approved, and audited.
Why I am writing to you in particular: Volobox runs on a .NET and ABP backend, the same foundation you ship on, and it is the largest ABP application we run. Agents work on your own ABP repositories, on GitHub, GitLab.com, or Azure Repos, and Custom Apps, where a team builds internal tools by describing them to an agent, runs on ABP's low-code engine.
Nothing changes about ABP: same team, same licensing, same support. We run our own company on Volobox, and our agents work on our ABP code every day.
This week Volobox became generally available.
